Who we are
AMSEXPERIENCE B.V. sells tickets and experiences in Amsterdam. Privacy questions: support@amsexperience.com.
Booking data
To process your booking we use your name, email address, optional phone number and booking details. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Invoices and booking records are kept for the statutory (tax) retention period of 7 years.
Cookieless measurement
Our basic site statistics are measured without cookies and without storing your IP address or browser details. Visits are counted with an encrypted code that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you. No consent is required for this.
Analytics and external content (your consent)
Through the cookie banner you can enable two optional categories. Analytics: we then set an anonymous visitor cookie (ams_vid) and Google Analytics measures how you use the site. External media & maps: external content such as videos (YouTube, Vimeo) and Google Maps then loads; these providers may set their own cookies. Without your consent, neither loads. Your choice is stored in the ams_consent cookie (12 months) and can always be changed via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.
Cookie after a booking
Only after you complete a booking do we set one first-party cookie (ams_cid, valid up to 13 months). It links your visits to your customer profile — for example to show your booking history and improve our service. The cookie contains only a random code, no personal data.
Your choices at checkout
At checkout you can tick three separate boxes: (1) receive offers and tips by email, (2) also receive your tickets and service via WhatsApp (only shown if you enter a phone number — messages then go through WhatsApp/Meta), and (3) allow your email address to be used in hashed (encrypted) form for relevant ads on platforms like Google or Meta. All three are OFF by default. We record when and where you gave consent, and you can withdraw it at any time via support@amsexperience.com or the unsubscribe link in every email.
Retention
Raw measurement data (page views, clicks) is kept for a maximum of 6 months; after that only aggregated daily figures remain. Customer profiles are kept for as long as you are a customer.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data. On request we fully anonymise your profile: name, email, phone and the link to measurement data are erased; only legally required accounting records remain.
Sharing with third parties
We only share data with parties needed for your booking (ticket supplier, payment provider Mollie) and — solely with your consent — with Google (Analytics, and external content such as Maps and YouTube videos), with Vimeo (videos), with WhatsApp/Meta (only if you opt in to WhatsApp service) and with advertising platforms in hashed form. We never sell data.
